Topology optimization of structures undergoing brittle fracture

چکیده

In the framework of level-set method we propose a topology optimization algorithm for linear elastic structures which can exhibit fractures. spirit Griffith theory, brittle fracture is modeled by Francfort-Marigo energy model, with its Ambrosio-Tortorelli regularization, also be viewed as gradient damage model. This quasi-static and irreversible model approximated using penalization to make it amenable shape-differentiation. The shape derivative determined adjoint method. implemented numerically body-fitted remeshing, captures shapes exactly while allowing changes. efficiency proposed demonstrated on 2D 3D test cases. shown efficient in conceiving crack-free structures.
